Usmle High Yield Resources 2022-Top-Rated Review Resources-

This section includes a database of highly regarded fundamental scientific review books, sample examination books, websites, apps, and commercial review courses that have been targeted toward medical students who are studying for the USMLE Step 1.

We provide the following information regarding each recommended resource: the Title, the First Author (or editor), the Series Name (if applicable), the Current Publisher, the Copyright Year, the Number of Pages, the ISBN, the Approximate List Price, the Format of the resource, and the Number of Test Questions (where applicable).
In addition, we include Summary Comments that analyze the authors' writing styles and evaluate the books' general usefulness for academic research.
In the end, a Rating is assigned to every resource that was recommended.
Within each area, the resources are ordered first according to Rating and then according to the first author of each Rating group in alphabetical order.

The precise student evaluations are reflected in Rated Resources by a letter rating scale that has six different grades.
Each resource that is rated earns a rating based on the following criteria:

A+ For the board's review, this is excellent

A/A Very good for boards review; choose among the group.
B+ or B Good, but use only after exhausting better resources.
B Fair, but there are many better resources in the discipline; or low-
yield subject material.

The purpose of the Rating is to provide an overall reflection of how helpful the resource is in terms of assisting medical students in their preparation for the USMLE Step 1. This conclusion is drawn from a number of considerations, including the following: The significance of the subject matter for the USMLE Step 1

The appropriateness and accuracy of the material

The readability of the text The quality and number of sample questions

The quality of written answers to sample questions

The cost

The quality of the user interface and learning experience, for web and mobile apps

The quality and appropriateness of the images and illustrations

The length of the text (longer texts are The quantity and quality of the additional resources that are available within the same field.
It is important to keep in mind that the ratings do not accurately reflect the quality of the resources for anything other than reviewing for the USMLE Step 1. Even though many books with lower ratings are well written and instructive, using them to prepare for certification exams is not recommended.

The generic textbooks that are available for the fundamental sciences have not been listed or commented on by us.
The cumulative results of formal and informal questionnaires administered to thousands of medical students attending a variety of medical schools located all around the country are used as the basis for the evaluations. There may have been a wide range of opinions or minimal student response on any one resource; however, the summary remarks and overall ratings reflect the opinion that has been reached by the majority of students.
Please be aware that the facts mentioned are subject to change in the sense that prices on both the publisher's website and in the app store are known to fluctuate regularly.
Bookstores, both brick-and-mortar and virtual, are free to determine their own prices.
ƒ The frequency with which new editions and app versions are released is inconsistent with the quality of the updates.
ƒ It's possible that another publisher will release the same book at some point.
To ensure that our database is always up to date, we strongly encourage both medical students and faculty members to share their thoughts on and ratings for the aforementioned fundamental scientific review materials. In addition, we request that publishers and writers submit review copies of fundamental science review books for the purpose of evaluation and assessment. These books can be new editions or works that are not currently included in our database. We also encourage people to submit evaluations of recently published books, mobile applications, websites, flash cards, and paid review courses.
